Blog of my year in Afghanistan. I have never actually met a camel, but I still like them. If fact, some of my readers may feel the need to tell me that camels stink, and spit, and other nasty things. I do not dispute that, but you know what? I still like camels and nothing anyone says is going to change that. At least not until a camel actually does something to offend me personally.

My little knitting corner of cyberspace. Apparently I am a sheep. Why? Because I could not resist this scarf. And had to follow all of the other people who have made it and cast on. For one of my own! Its the noro scarf that I keep seeing all over the net. From 4 balls of at least two different colors of Noro Silk Garden. Which are alternated every two rows. How the colors shift slowly and intertwine with each other. So fun! And the yarn is. I started early on p.
Carrie Koffman is in her 15th year of teaching on the faculty of The Hartt School at the University of Hartford. She is also on the faculty at the Yale School of Music. Prior to this, she held positions as Assistant Professor of Saxophone at Penn State University, Assistant Professor of Saxophone at the University of New Mexico, and taught at Boston University. Koffman is a certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher and teaches Yoga for Performers at The Hartt School.
